As many of you now know, NaaNaa Grey (naanaapink in world) is currently in a lot of danger in RL as her extremely religious family have discovered the truth about her sexuality and that she is gay. She posted her story on Facebook yesterday if you want to read it all. 

We (Coral Lacey, Tink Hax, Kimma Rayn & Dan Scott) are working on trying to get her out of that situation and somewhere safe. It is not as easy as it might sound as she is currently locked away unable to leave the house without being escorted, her bank cards taken from her, she has very limited access to the internet, via a phone which was thrown through a window after hers was confiscated. 

We have contacted various charities, many of which have a 2 week response time or have simply not acknowledged the urgent titled emails from ourselves. We have researched all available visa options and made calls to immigration offices. 

Shelters are not an option, her girlfriend tried these when she was initially locked up and they refused to help unless she could physically go there, which of course she couldn’t. If she tries to go there now and is turned away it will put her at even further risk. 

She will likely have one chance to escape because once her family find out she is trying to leave it will again put her at a greater risk. Our plan is to have her booked on a flight to a safe location, set her up in a temporary rental, as well as us flying to meet her and get her set up and comfortable and then assist in a plan from there. 

We are not creating a gofundme. However we are wanting to advertise her store inworld/marketplace. You can check out her flickr HERE.

If there are products you like created by her, please consider buying them, for yourselves/gifting to others. We have also placed out a small donation pot in case you rather just donate than make a purchase. All donations made to her store are going to be used in getting her to a safe secure location, helping with living costs until she is able to move on to a more permanent location. Hopefully with us. 

Of course these plans are subject to change. But the money raised from any sales made at her store will 100% go toward getting her set up whether it be through the flights, visa costs, accommodation, food and whatever else may be needed throughout the process. 

SL has proved to be an amazing place in helping others, and we hope that we can come together and help one of our own in a dire situation.
